Home Care Packages Program

Our Older Persons and Abilities Support Services Department (OPASS) is an approved provider for the Commonwealth Government’s Home Care Packages Program.

The Home Care Package (HCP) Program helps you to live independently in your home for as long as you can.

There are four package levels available depending on you assessment.

  1. Level 1 supports people with basic care needs
  2. Level 2 supports people with low-level care needs
  3. Level 3 supports people with intermediate care needs
  4. Level 4 supports people with high-level care needs.

Each level of home care package provides a different subsidy amount, determined and paid by the federal government. Find out more about the Government Subsidies available.

This amount is paid to an approved home care provider which you select. The subsidy contributes to the total cost of delivering care to meet your individual needs.  It is also expected by the government that you will contribute to the cost of your care where your personal circumstances allow.

Living at home is much more than just keeping your house clean and tidy.  Our services aim to enrich your life and includes but not limited to a list of services through our preferred provider network.

Fees

We do not charge a basic daily fee for services provided.  However, you may need to pay an income tested fee as established by the Centrelink income assessment.
