Waste transfer stations (tips), are located at Alvie, Birregurra and Apollo Bay. Facility opening hours and addresses are listed below.

Council’s waste transfer stations accept general rubbish, hard rubbish, recycling and organic waste. Alvie and Birregurra transfer stations DO NOT accept waste oil. Visit our Alternative Waste Disposal page to find out what can be disposed of at our Transfer Stations.

Transfer stations and drop-off sites are cashless facilities - EFTPOS and tip ticket books are accepted at all locations. Tip ticket books can be purchased at Council's customer service centres in Colac and Apollo Bay.

  • See Council’s Waste Management Fire Danger Rating Plan for more information about waste management on extreme fire and weather days.
