Council adopts strategic plans to guide future of Colac Otway Shire

Colac Otway Shire Council has adopted the 2021-2025 Council Plan, setting the strategic direction and priorities for the four years ahead.

Community awards to continue in refreshed format

At its October 2021 meeting, Council resolved to no longer hold its community awards event on 26 January and will look to hold future community awards as a standalone event or in collaboration with an existing community event, however the citizenship ceremony will continue to be held on 26 January in accordance with the Australian Government’s requirements.

Birregurra - Forrest Road closure

The Birregurra - Forrest remains closed due to recent flooding events.

Colac Civic Health and Rail Precinct

The plan is a coordinated plan for the area, necessary to ensure that the precinct continues to meet the needs of the community and its key occupants including CAH, Colac Railway, COPACC and Colac Otway Shire Council.

Colac Memorial Square Playspace Upgrade

The Colac Memorial Square Playspace will be replaced and expanded in 2021. This important community project will be completed by Colac Otway Shire in partnership with the Australian and Victorian Governments.
