Colac Otway Shire Council has a free Business Support Service, ecodev@colacotway.vic.gov.au or 03 5232 9400.

The Business Support Service is here to help you liaise with our compliance teams so you can get the permits and registrations you need as efficiently as possible.

Once you have your permits, we’re here to support your business by linking you to funding opportunities, learning opportunities and our broader business community.

The Business Support Service can:

  • Guide you through the process of finding, and applying for, the permits you need
  • Liaise with various Council divisions, such as Planning, Building, Environmental Health, and Local Laws
  • Help you to understand grants and support programs and training that may be available
  • Connect you with local business networks and trader associations
  • Serve as your primary contact for business-related enquiries

You may need different permits to get your business up and running so please use our Self Assessment Tool to identify the permits you may need. If you leave your details our Business Support Service can contact you to discuss what you may need to do to start or change your business.
