Urgent issues or incidents should be reported to Council immediately on 03 5232 9400 (24-hours),

Please call 000 if someone is seriously injured or in need of urgent medical help, your life or property is being threatened or you are in immediate danger.

National Relay Service

Ensure your voice is heard

Residents who are deaf or have hearing or speech impairments can contact Council using the National Relay Service.

There are four types of NRS calls:

  1. Type and Read – for callers who cannot speak or hear

  2. Speak and Read – for callers who can speak but not hear

  3. Type and Listen – for callers who can hear but not speak

  4. Speak and Listen – for callers who are difficult to understand on the phone.

Speak and Listen calls phone 1300 555 727 and ask to be put through to Council on 03 5232 9400.

Translation and Interpreting Service (TIS National)

Please call the Translating and Interpreting Service (TIS National) on 131 450 and ask them to telephone Colac Otway Shire Council on 03 5232 9400.

This services is available 24-hours a day.
