Halletts Lane, Birregurra - Road Works

Council will undertake repair works on Halletts Lane, Birregurra, following recent damage caused by increased traffic.

The damage occurred after a truck rollover on the Princes Highway, when some motorists chose to use local roads, including Halletts Lane, as alternative routes. The road was not part of the official diversion.

Council inspections confirmed the increased traffic accelerated existing wear on sections of the road.

Works will include:

• Regrading and resheeting sections of the Minor Road
• Regrading the Fire Access Track section
• Removing small areas of failed seal and converting them to gravel

Crews have installed warning signage and will carry out works to restore safe and reliable access for local residents.

As a rural minor road and fire access track, Halletts Lane is maintained to suit its intended function, and these works will return it to an appropriate standard.

Council thanks residents for their patience while these works are completed.
