Waste transfer station charges

Council’s waste transfer stations each have set costs for disposing of general rubbish, hard rubbish, commercial and domestic recycling and green waste. Costs for different materials are outlined for 2018-2019 are below.

Alvie & Birregurra Transfer Station are not accepting waste oil until further notice.

Kerbside disposal charges

Council charges an annual waste management fee for kerbside rubbish, recycling and green waste collection. These charges appear on your rates.

Annual charges are:

  • Weekly waste management - $315
  • Fortnightly waste management - $215

Waste disposal tickets

Council has a waste disposal ticket system for residents without access to kerbside collection. You can purchase these tickets at a Council customer service centre and use when you dispose of waste at any drop-off facility or waste transfer station within the shire.

Costs of waste disposal tickets are:
  • $150.00 for 25 tickets
  • $70.00 for 10 tickets
