Parks and Gardens, COPACC and community halls

Would you like to host your wedding ceremony in a Colac Otway Shire park or garden?

Overlooking Lake Colac and showcasing the historic, William Guilfoyle-designed gardens, the Colac Botanic Gardens provides a beautiful backdrop for your outdoor ceremony.

You will need to make a booking and apply for a permit to hold your wedding at any of our parks and gardens. A full list of our recreation spaces is available on our website.

If the wedding of your dreams is an intimate, country affair there are a number of Council buildings and community halls available for hire that may be used as a wedding venue. You can find a list of Colac Otway Shire venues and halls available to hire on our Facilities & Venues webpage.

Do you have a large guest list? COPACC can host up to 300 guests for your reception with access to specialty AV services and a full commercial kitchen. Visit the COPACC website or contact the team by email for more information.

Great Ocean Road Beaches

The Great Ocean Road Coast and Parks Authority manages our rugged coastline, from the surf beaches of Torquay to the 12 Apostles. Please contact GORCAPA to apply for any permits you may need for your beach wedding.

Great Otway National Park

If you decide to have your wedding under the canopy of the magnificent redwood forest at Lavers Hill or beside one of our magical waterfalls, please contact Parks Victoria to apply for a permit for these locations and all other sites within the Great Otway National Park.
