Volunteering within the Colac Otway Shire is a great way to get involved in your community. As a volunteer you get to support a local cause and be part of a group, while at the same time gaining many personal benefits. Volunteering has shown to increase a person’s self-confidence and connectedness to the community, while providing a sense of purpose.

If you think you have something to contribute to your community, Colac Otway Shire Council requires volunteers for the following programs:

Meals on Wheels

Volunteers deliver chilled meals on weekdays between 10.45am and 12.15pm within Colac. There’s an option to work in pairs using a Council vehicle, or individually using a private vehicle.

Community transport

Community transport volunteers drive clients to specialist medical appointments outside of Colac, with trips covering Melbourne, Geelong, Ballarat and Warrnambool. Drivers have access to Council vehicles for these trips.
