PORT OF APOLLO BAY - SERVICE REVIEW
INVITATION TO COMMUNITY CONSULTATON SESSIONS
THURSDAY 15TH MARCH 2018
_____________________________________________

As you may be aware, Colac Otway Shire Council is conducting a review into the services provided at the Port of Apollo Bay to determine their suitability, compare them to services provided at other local ports, to determine whether they meet the needs of the user community and other stakeholders, and to help determine any future governance and operational models for the Port for the future.  It is intended that a report will go to the June Council Meeting for Council to consider the findings of this service review.

To inform the review, a series of community consultation sessions have been arranged for Thursday 15th March at the meeting room at:

Marrar Woorn House
Otway Health
75 McLachlan Street, Apollo Bay.

If you would like to participate and have your say, 1 hour sessions have been organised as follows:

Session 1:            Port Berth users – morning session                    10.00am

Session 2:            Port Consultative Committee members only       11.30am

Session 3:            Port User Group members only                           1.30pm

Session 4:            Port Berth users – evening session                      6.00pm

Session 5:            General public stakeholders                                 7.15pm

These sessions are focussed on marine services at the Port, meeting users needs and examining future governance and operational models for the Port and will be facilitated by Susan Benedyka from The Regional Development Company.  The sessions are not related to Council’s recent Expression of Interest for a private sector partner to develop other complementary assets at the site.
