COPACC FAQs

Council has resolved to enter into a lease with a new operator for the Colac Otway Performing Arts and Cultural Centre (COPACC).
Council is negotiating the lease with IVG Global.
The following Frequently Asked Questions have been developed to inform the community on the process and changes to the way the centre will be managed. This document will be updated as new information becomes available.

Great Ocean & Otway Classic Ride 2026

The Great Ocean & Otway Classic Ride returns on Saturday 2 May, offering riders the chance to experience the iconic Great Ocean Road. With 204km, 145km and 60km distances, the event caters to all abilities while showcasing the stunning Colac Otway region. Now in its 19th year, the event proudly supports the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre by fundraising for cancer research.

Apollo Bay Road Reconstruction

Colac Otway Shire Council has awarded a major contract to deliver four significant road reconstruction projects in Apollo Bay, forming part of Council’s $7 million investment in sealed road upgrades across coastal townships in the 2025-26 financial year.

Autumn Leaf Collection - Colac (northern streets)

Council’s seasonal leaf collection will run for approximately seven weeks across Colac’s northern streets, with collections on Tuesdays and Wednesdays (7.30am–2.30pm).
