Memorial Square Footpath Rehabilitation Works – Colac

Project Overview
The works will include resurfacing the existing asphalt footpath and realigning the bluestone edging to address tripping hazards. The current footpath footprint will remain unchanged. The extent of proposed works is annotated in dark grey in image below:

Scope of Works

• Remove the existing asphalt surface and improve the subbase, followed by installing a new asphalt layer.
• Vertically realign the bluestone edging and/or asphalt surface to eliminate trip hazards and ensure a consistent offset from the new surface.

No major excavation is planned, and all works will follow the existing footpath layout.

Timeline

• Expected commencement of works: April 2026
• Expected completion: Mid 2026
