Join Council’s Youth Engagement Team on Friday 8 May 2026 as we go blue for Do It For Dolly Day.
 
Colac Otway Shire Youth aged 12-25 are invited to create a blue butterfly themed artwork for a Do It For Dolly Day Display at Colac Otway Performing Arts & Cultural Centre (COPACC). The butterfly artworks will form part of a collective display promoting kindness, connection and standing up to bullying. 
 
On the day, COPACC will be lit blue and the Dolly’s Dream flag will be flown on the Community Flagpole outside COPACC.

 

Do It For Dolly Day Butterfly Display - Friday 8 May
The display will be at Colac Performing Arts & Cultural Centre (COPACC) from Monday 4 May – Sunday 10 May 2026
Artist can display a maximum of one (1) blue themed butterfly artwork each.
Artwork Entry Details
Upload image of your artwork. Photographs must be saved as a JPEG or JPG and not exceed 5MB.
Artwork delivery will be available on Friday 1 May between 1:00pm - 5:30pm to Colac Otway Performing Arts & Cultural Centre (COPACC) 95-97 Gellibrand St, Colac. Other delivery options are available please contact Council's Youth Engagement Team.

Artworks can be delivered on Friday 1 May 2026 between 1:00pm - 5:30pm to the Gallery Foyer at Colac Otway Performing Arts and Cultural Centre (COPACC) 95-97 Gellibrand St, Colac.

Who can display an artwork for Do it for Dolly Day? Entry is open to all young people aged 12 to 25 years who live, work, play, and/or study within the Colac Otway Shire.

What type of artwork can I create? We're looking for artworks inspired by Do it for Dolly Day, the colour blue and butterflies. Art mediums could include digital art, drawing (charcoal, ink, pencil, pastels, texters), sculpture (ceramic, clay, metal, wood), painting (acrylic, oil, watercolour), photography (photo entry must be printed and/or framed), printmaking (linocut, woodcut, etching, screen printing), mixed media, textiles, and woodwork.

How many artworks can I display? Each artist can display one (1) artwork/art piece.

How do I know if my form has been received? Once you have submitted the artwork form, a success message will display on the screen. Council's Youth Engagement Team will also contact you to confirm your artwork form has been recieved.

Where do I deliver my artwork/s once I have completed my artwork form? The artwork can be delivered on Friday 1 May between 1:00pm - 5:30pm to the COPACC Gallery Foyer, Colac Otway Performing Arts and Cultural Centre 95-97 Gellibrand St, Colac.

What if I can't deliver my artwork on the delivery date? Other delivery options are available and can be organised by contacting Council's Youth Engagement Team youth@colacotway.vic.gov.au or 03) 5232 9400.

Can someone else deliver my artwork? Yes, someone else can deliver your artwork/s on your behalf as long as your form has been completed.
