Council is encouraging motorists to travel safely around school zones during road safety upgrades in Colac over the next few weeks.
As part of the program, resurfacing works will take place on the corner of Queen Street and Pound Road.
Works is also planned near Trinity College and Sacred Heart Primary School, which will require traffic management, detours and road closures.
Maps of planned works are listed below.
Upgrades include minor drainage, kerb and footpath works, along with priority crossings and speed humps on Pound Road between Hart Street and Armstrong Street.
Council encourages motorists to drive to the conditions, obey speed restrictions, traffic management staff and signage.
Works are expected to be completed by Friday 10 July.
Council appreciates the cooperation of motorists while these important safety upgrades take place.
This project is fully funded by the Safe Local Roads and Streets Program (SLRSP) under the Department of Transport and Planning.
