Council operates drop-off facilities at Beech Forrest, Lavers Hill, Carlisle River and Gellibrand for residents without access to kerbside waste collection services and need to dispose of their domestic waste and recycling only.

Domestic rubbish and recycling is accepted through these facilities, fees apply

Hard waste and green waste is NOT accepted at drop off facilities. These can be disposed of at one of Council's waste transfer stations.

Charges for waste disposal at a waste transfer station of drop-off facility within the shire depends on the size of your load and what materials you have to dispose.

Waste disposal tickets are available from the Colac Otway Shire Council’s customer service centres. These tickets can be used at any waste transfer station or drop-off facility within the shire.

EFTPOS facilities are available at drop-off facility venues.

Drop-off facilities and waste transfer stations will not operate on code red fire danger days. Rubbish and recycling collections will take place on the next available operating day.

Drop-off facilities and waste transfer stations might not operate on extreme weather days. Please check our website and social media pages, and listen to the local radio for information.
