Alternative Payment Options

The Colac Otway Shire offers a convenient online payment service for your rates, animal registration renewals, invoices and infringements.

However, if you choose not to use our electronic service, there are other ways to pay your accounts.

Alternative Payment Methods

Post Billpay

Payments can be made in person at any post office using cash or cheque. Payment by EFTPOS (credit and debit card) is available at most post offices. Credit cards accepted are Visa and Mastercard only. Or you may pay online.

Post Billpay

By Mail

Detach your payment slip and mail with cheque or money order made payable to Colac Otway Shire (no pins or staples please). Retain the top portion for your records as no receipt will be issued. Mail your payment to:

By Phone

You can pay your accounts over the phone by ringing 13 18 16 and quoting the Billpay code and reference number on the front of your notice.

In Person

Come in to our customer service centres at Colac and Apollo Bay, or go to any post office to pay in person using cash or cheque. Payment by EFTPOS (credit and debit card) is available at most post offices. Credit cards accepted are Visa and Mastercard only.

Animal Registrations

Animal registrations must be renewed by 10 April each year. Council sends a letter to all registered pet owners in the shire to remind them when they need to renew.
