Have Your Say on Colac Otway Shire Council’s 2026–27 Budget

Colac Otway Shire Council is inviting the community to share ideas and priorities for the 2026–27 Budget earlier than ever before.

Why earlier?

In previous years, consultation happened in April and May on a draft Budget that was almost complete. This year, we’re starting in December and January, giving you two months to put forward your proposals before the planning process begins. This means your ideas can be considered from the very start.

What does the Budget do?

The annual Budget determines how Council allocates funds for services, operations, and community projects across Colac Otway. Each year, Council works with Councillors and the community to plan a Budget that supports the facilities and programs people rely on.

Residents, ratepayers, community groups, clubs, and businesses are encouraged to share their ideas.

Your input will help shape the priorities for the year ahead. Don’t miss this opportunity to influence how Council invests in our community.

Submissions close at 5pm on Friday 30 January 2026.
