Reimagining the Barham exhibition

Next date: Saturday, 06 June 2026 | 10:00 AM to 02:00 PM

Barham Backwaters by Ken Forrester

This community arts exhibition brings the Barham River centre stage, highlighting its central role in our community and region. Over 350 community members have responded to the call to imagine the Barham’s future, and share perspectives and diverse stories of connection to our life-giving waterway.

With over 80 exhibits – from documentary film to musical composition, ceramics to textiles, drawing to photography, sculpture and mixed media installations – this exhibition really has something to interest everyone.

And don’t keep the kids at home! With our dedicated River Reading Nook, the Nibbled Leaf Café, artwork from local children and students, and a Kids’ Passport to help younger children reflect on what they see, this is definitely a whole family experience.

Supported by 25 organisations or community groups, Reimagining the Barham is a breathtaking drawing together of people inspired by the river and invested in its future. The exhibition will run for 6-weeks, but the opening night will be pretty special. Make sure you don’t miss it!
