Mental Health Workshop For Climate Advocates

Next date: Saturday, 03 October 2026 | 10:00 AM to 01:00 PM

Climate change can affect us deeply. After experiencing bushfires, droughts, heatwaves or other climate disasters, it’s natural to feel grief, anxiety, anger or uncertainty about the future.

For many, these feelings become a motivation to act. We volunteer, organise and advocate for change. But caring deeply can also take a toll, leaving us feeling overwhelmed, isolated or burned out.

You don’t have to put your own wellbeing aside to make a difference.

Doctors for the Environment Australia (DEA) is offering small, professionally facilitated workshops for people who have experienced climate impacts and are involved in climate advocacy or community action.

Held over two sessions, these workshops are a chance to pause, connect and recharge with people who understand. Together, we’ll share experiences, explore practical ways to support our wellbeing and find ways to sustain the work we care about.

Workshops will be held in small groups of approximately 12–20 participants, facilitated by trained health professionals with expertise in mental health and climate advocacy.
