Colac Poetry Club - Starting October 15th!

Join us on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month for a welcoming gathering of local poets of all backgrounds, skill levels, and ages. Whether you're looking to share your latest work, learn new techniques, meet fellow poets, or receive valuable feedback, the Colac Poetry Club is the perfect place for you!

The club is hosted by K.J. Hayward, the 2023 Australian Poetry Slam champion, who earned national recognition at just 15 years old with a tie for the coveted APS National Champion title at the Sydney Opera House. Since then, K.J. has toured Australia, leading workshops and competitions, while using her voice to empower youth and inspire creativity.

 Come connect with your local writing community at the Colac Library—share your words, get inspired, and be part of a space that fosters creativity and empowerment through poetry.

Not required to bring anything other than yourselves and your creativity!
Participants might like to take a personal journal or bring in poetry for feedback.
