Australia’s oldest and longest one day road cycling race, the Powercor Melbourne to Warrnambool and the Lochard Energy Women's Warrnambool Cycling Classic returns to our roads Saturday 28 February and Sunday 1 March.
Entrenched in history as the world's second oldest one-day race, the ‘Melbourne to Warrny’ has served as a critical stepping-stone toward the international stage for Aussies as ‘The Road to the World Tour’ for emerging Australian road cyclists.
The Powercor Melbourne to Warrnambool race will see 180 riders racing the grueling 267km race from Avalon to Warrnambool and 80 women racing in Sunday’s Lochard Energy’s Women’s Warrnambool starting at Colac’s very own velodrome.
