Rock On! The Future of Music

Council and COPACC are excited to present ROCK ON! The Future of Music, a showcase designed and led by Colac Otway young people.
Youth Fest Backstage/Tech Workshop and Rock Out Session and Youth Media and Marketing Workshops recently held during the September school holidays provided young participants with the opportunity to learn from industry experts about the fundamentals of lighting, sound, equipment, staging, performance, media, creating content and marketing.
Bringing these skills to the music showcase, audience members will have the chance to see the local talent of our shire’s musicians, budding performers, stage techs and event managers.
The stage is set for an unforgettable afternoon of talent and creativity as local youth get ready to take the opportunity to present this exciting Youth Music Showcase to celebrate as the future of music.
ROCK ON! The Future of Music will provide a platform for young people to share their passion and creativity with the community.
The Youth Music Showcase will take place at 2pm, Saturday 18 October at COPACC, bringing together young people from across the region to present their music showcase in front of a live audience.
“Colac Otway Shire Council and COPACC are proud to support these events and promote the incredible creativity and passion of our young people,” said Youth Engagement Project Officer, Chelsea Sharp.
“This event is all about giving young people a platform to share their talents, build confidence, and connect through music.”
“It’s important to celebrate local talent and provide an opportunity to bring people together,” Chelsea said.
Tickets are $5 for under 25/Concession and $7 for adults.
