Council has completed important road safety upgrades near Trinity College and Sacred Heart Primary School in Colac over the holiday period.
Upgrades included raised priority crossings in Armstrong Street and Pound Road, and speed cushions at the Hart Street and Pound Road intersection.
Council CEO Andrew Tenni thanked motorists for their patience while the works were undertaken.
“This is a particularly busy area of Colac at school times and we were fortunate with the weather to make good progress on the works during the school break,” he said.
“So as we enter the new school term we encourage motorists to obey the 40 km speed restrictions, and also be mindful of the changed traffic conditions around these upgraded intersections.”
