Vote now for the youth photography competition People’s Choice Award

Time is running out to vote for your favourite image in the 2025 Colac Otway Youth Photography Competition.
Voting for the People’s Choice Award closes on Wednesday 15 October, with plenty of opportunities to view the entries and cast your vote.
The exhibition is on show in the COPACC Gallery Foyer, on Facebook and on Council’s website at www.colacotway.vic.gov.au/YouthPhotoComp2025, with voting available at all three locations.
Winners will be unveiled at a special presentation in the COPACC Gallery Foyer on Friday 17 October at 4pm.
The exhibition features 58 entries from local young photographers aged between 12 and 25.
Youth Engagement Project Officer Chelsea Sharp said the exhibition celebrated young local talents.
“These are real moments captured by young people from Colac Otway – each photo tells a story from their perspective, including everyday life, nature and community,” Chelsea said.
“If you haven’t voted yet, now’s the time. These young photographers have put their heart into every photo, and your vote helps recognise that,” she said.
“When young people see their work valued, it builds confidence and encourages future participation in community life.
“We also encourage supporters to come along to Friday’s presentation to celebrate the creativity and stories of our young people – everyone’s welcome.”
This initiative is proudly supported by Colac Otway Shire Council and Victorian Government’s Engage! Program.
