Photo competition celebrates #ColacOtwaySpringtime

Across the month of September, Colac Otway Shire Council and the Colac Herald are running a photo competition with the hashtag #ColacOtwaySpringtime, to help celebrate the season of spring and see what our beautiful region has to showcase at this time of year.

“With spring lambs and pink blossoms popping up across our landscape at the beginning of spring, it’s hard to resist taking a moment to grab a photo,” said Mayor Kate Hanson. “We’re looking forward to some warmer weather ahead and we’re encouraging our community to join in the fun of the photo competition.”

Council’s Springtime Photo Competition has four categories to enter:

• Spring newborns
  • Melt our hearts with your cutest newborn or baby animal photo
• Spring blossom
  • Capture the bright colours of spring from your local park or your own backyard.
• Spring in your step
  • Need to shake off those winter blues? Inspire us with your new spring hobby or fitness activity
• Spring-sation
  • This is the ‘other’ springtime category – photograph recipes, good news or something to make us smile

To enter the competition, post a photo to your public Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag #ColacOtwaySpringtime or email it in to Council at inq@colacotway.vic.gov.au. Find out full details on how to enter here.

Category winning entries will feature in the Colac Herald and the final category winners, chosen by the Mayor and a Colac Herald photographer, will each receive a large print out of their photo.
