2026-27 Budget - Adopted

The 2026-27 Budget, including fees and charges was adopted by Council at the June meeting. The Budget seeks to support the provision of services and infrastructure for the Colac Otway community.

This year’s Budget includes a new program to seal some of the shire’s unsealed roads, along with increased investment to expand footpath networks across Colac Otway.

The Budget includes an average rate rise of 2.75 per cent, in line with the State Government’s set rate cap.

Colac Otway Shire Grants Program 2026-27 and Trees for Farms Grants Program – Allocation of Funds

A total of 95 local projects will share in over $300,000 from the Colac Otway Shire Council Grants Program.

Council’s Grants Program supports a partnership between not-for-profit local community organisations and businesses to achieve positive economic and social outcomes that benefit the wider community.

The new Trees for Farms Grants Program will also allocate over $33,500 to 12 applicants to support native tree planting on commercial properties to strengthen sustainable and efficient farm production and deliver environmental benefits.

There was a high level of interest in this year’s Grants Program. Council thanks all applicants who made a submission.
