Council – proud to support Colac and District Business Awards

Colac Otway Shire Council is proud to stand alongside the Chamber of Commerce in support of this year’s Colac and District Business Awards – a celebration of innovation, resilience and excellence that defines our local business community.

Acting CEO Doug McNeill said Council is very pleased to see the return of the reinvigorated awards to the region’s event calendar.

“Colac Otway is home to a diverse and dynamic business community – from passionate entrepreneurs and family-run enterprises to major industries – all contributing to a vibrant and thriving region,” said Mr McNeill.

“These awards are a chance to shine a spotlight on the people and organisations who make Colac Otway a great place to live, work, study and invest. It’s a celebration of local pride, creativity and commitment.”

Mr McNeill acknowledged the vital role local businesses and industries play in showcasing the shire and attracting interest from beyond the region.

“Our businesses are not only the backbone of our economy, they’re ambassadors for Colac Otway. Their innovation and dedication help put our region on the map and inspire others to explore what we have to offer.”

Mr McNeill said Council is focussed on supporting the business and tourism economy in Colac Otway Shire.

“Council remains committed to fostering a thriving local economy by supporting, developing and attracting business to the region.

“This work is led by our Economy and Creative Industries team, which has recently evolved to better align with Council’s strategic priorities and future vision. With refreshed roles and a renewed focus, the team is driving initiatives that support business growth, attract investment, and activate places that energise our communities and showcase the very best of Colac Otway
