The Draft Forrest Common Master Plan details a range of proposed infrastructure improvements identified in collaboration with community members through a number of engagement opportunities this year. The draft Master Plan also includes a prioritised implementation plan and probable costings.
The key projects within the draft Master Plan include upgrade to existing bollards, a basketball area, seating, improved play space, an informal amphitheatre, interpretive signs and a concrete shared pathway circuit around the 1.5 hectare site.
The draft Master Plan is now available for community comment and Council invites anyone interested in the development of the Forrest Common to provide feedback.
Electronic copies of the plan can be downloaded from the links provided on this page or hard copies can be viewed at Council’s Colac and Apollo Bay customer service centres and the Colac Community Library and Learning Centre. Copies are also available for viewing in Forrest at the General Store, the Neighbourhood House, on the Community Noticeboard, at The Common BBQ shelter and on the History information board.
