Recently, Warrnambool City Council has determined to withdraw from the Corangamite Regional Library Corporation, which means Council needs to determine the future provider of library services. The three options are:
A - Stay with a reduced Corangamite Regional Library Corporation
B - Move to Geelong Regional Library Corporation
C - Run the library services ourselves
All options would likely result in increased costs for Colac Otway Shire Council.
Following completion of the Library Services Review report, Council now wants to undertake community consultation to help inform a future decision of Council.
You can have your say on the Library Services Review by:
1. Completing the online survey CLICK HERE - alternatively, print a hard copy to return to Council
2. Contacting the Development and Community Services team to discuss your ideas (phone 5232 9400)
Face to face and interactive posters were planned, however due to COVID-19 social distancing measures, an alternative option of phone discussions and/or messages was selected as part of the community consultation.

Timeline
Stage 1 - Open for consultation
We welcome your input to help Council decide on which way we should proceed with the provision of library services. Will we:

Consultation will close at 5pm 13 May 2020
Step 2 - Under review
Council will review and incorporate your feedback into the final Library Services Review Process.
Step 3 - Complete
The final outcome of the consultation will be documented here. This may include a summary of all submissions as well as recommendations for future action or Council's decision.
