Murray Street, Colac - Proposal Bus Parking Restrictions

On display until 07 November 2025, 05:00 PM

Council is seeking feedback on a proposed initiative to address concerns raised by local businesses regarding bus parking restrictions during evening hours.

In December 2024, Council conducted a community consultation regarding designated bus parking zones. Based on the feedback received, the proposed bus parking changes were not implemented. However, ongoing concerns have been raised about buses stopping in certain areas during peak evening hours, impacting some businesses.

Council is now proposing to install new signage on Murray Street (between Grant and Corangamite Streets), indicating 'No Bus Parking' between 5.30 and 9pm.

This measure aims to alleviate congestion and improve access for nearby businesses and patrons. Click the following link to view a map and plan(PDF, 351KB) of the parking area.

Council invites you to provide your feedback on the proposed restriction.

The survey will be open for six weeks, from 25 September closing 5pm Friday 7 November 2025.
