Waste services over Christmas / New Year 2021-22

Kerbside collections
There are no changes to the kerbside collections this year, as Christmas day and New Year’s day both fall on a Saturdays. All collection will be as normal.
Please place bins out the night before collection and bring in the day following to reduce risk of bins being blown over and spreading rubbish. If you’re not at your property over bin collection day, please check in with a neighbour to ask if they might be able to assist.
Extra recycling collections
The extra kerbside recycling starting (week 2) on Monday 20th December through to the end of 21st of Jan
Week 1 starts 27th Dec through to the 28th of Jan. (Three extra recycling collections)
Glass collections
Purple bins will be collected the week of:
Week 1-week of 20th Dec through to 24th Dec/ 17th Jan through to 21st Jan.
Week 2- week of 13th Dec through to 17th Dec / 10th Jan through to 14th Jan
Transfer stations
All Transfer station will be closed on Christmas day and New Year’s Day
Alvie and Apollo Bay transfer station will be open 7 days a week all other days 10am to 2pm
Birregurra transfer station open every Sunday 10am to 4pm and the first Friday of every month.
Drop offs will be operating the following dates over Christmas

Time 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm
