Colac Otway Shire Council and BelgraviaPro are pleased to announce the signing of a 15-year lease for the Forrest Caravan Park, with a 5-year extension option, and welcome its re-opening as the Forrest Holiday Park ahead of the Queen’s Birthday long weekend, with camping and caravan sites now available for booking.

New park managers are onsite to welcome guests and the team is looking forward to a bright future for the beloved holiday park.

General Manager Tourism & Wellness Karen Golden says the team are thrilled to have the park open ahead of the Run Forrest trail running event on June 12 – one of the biggest events on the regional calendar.

“We have space available for participants, supporters and visitors to come and stay over the long weekend and beyond. We can’t wait to have people in the park again,” she says.

Colac Otway Shire Council is excited about the future improvements of the holiday park under BelgraviaPro’s management and believe it will be a huge asset as Forrest moves forwards in its tourism aims.

“We’re thrilled the park is open in time for people to enjoy the long weekend in one of Australia’s premier mountain biking destinations,” said Mayor Hanson. “Nature lovers, adventurers and foodies all love Forrest with its lakes and waterfalls, walking trails and platypus-spotting, as well as craft beers and organic produce from the fertile Otways region.”

Ms Golden said the team at Forrest Holiday Park is committed to providing high quality experiences for guests.

“We are looking forward to working with the community to promote the beauty and unique offerings of Forrest and the region,” she said.
