Council, like many businesses this winter, is experiencing staffing challenges due to COVID restrictions, illness or staff needing time off work for caregiving duties. Unfortunately, this means that Bluewater Leisure Centre’s swimming pool will be closed for three mornings next week. The decision has been made for public safety due to an inability to meet supervision regulations around pool safety. However, all other facilities – childcare, the stadium and the gym will remain open as usual.
Swimming pool, steam room and spa closures will happen from 6am to 11am on Wednesday 3, Thursday 4 and Friday 5 August. Please note that all swim school and aqua classes during these times will also be cancelled. Thank you for your patience during this time and we look forward to welcoming you back to the pool as soon as possible.
