Birregurra Hall

Built in 1884 for meetings, court cases, education and entertainment etc, a Mechanics Institute and Public Library functioned here, with a Reading Room for daily newspapers. From the 1920s to the 1960s films were regularly shown; and community singing, dances, balls, concerts, euchre parties and flower shows were other popular social activities.

The five separate areas for hire include:

• Main Hall with a proscenium stage, dressing room, toilet facilities and heating/cooling. Seating capacity is 140 and standing 200+

• Supper Room, ideal for business meetings and smaller functions (capacity 20);

• Seniors Room with access to outdoors (capacity 40)

• Kitchen (can be used for commercial applications)

• The Yards outdoors area with stage

Facility features include:

• Full in-house production including sound and lighting

• Cinema capabilities with laser projector and screen 

• Full audience accessibility with all abilities bathroom facilities, all abilities access (excl. stage) and disability parking spaces
