Colac Otway Shire Grants Program 2020 - 2021

The program aims to provide an opportunity for a wide range of groups to obtain a share of the grant funds for a varied range of projects and events within the Colac Otway Shire.

A total pool of over $311,500 is available for the Colac Otway Shire Grants Program. 

All categories require a matching contribution via cash or in-kind from the applicant on a $1 for $1 basis.

Colac Otway Shire Grants Program has four funding categories:

  • Category 1:          Community Grants Program

  • Category 2:          Community Events & Support Program

  • Category 2a:        Major 'Community Organised' Events

  • Category 3:          Small Grants Program

  • Category 4:          Building Façade Improvement Program

The program GUIDELINES(PDF, 895KB) will provide details of the funding categories, eligibility, types of activities which may be funded, how to apply, assessment criteria and conditions.

Interested applicants are encouraged to attend information sessions at Apollo Bay or Colac.

  • Apollo Bay information session: Tuesday 17 March, 5.30pm – 6.30pm at Marrar Woorn Meeting Room – 6 Pengilley Avenue, Apollo Bay.
  • Colac information session: Thursday 19 March, 5.30pm – 6.30pm at COPACC Meeting Room – Gellibrand Street, Colac.



Applications Open      Friday 6 March 2020

Applications Close      Friday 17 April 2020 at 5.00pm


The allocation of grant funding will be considered at the Ordinary Council Meeting on 24 June 2020.
