Buy Local - Digital Marketing Kit and Campaign

It’s been a tough 2020 for many businesses in the Colac Otway Shire. The Buy Local - Together we are Colac Otway campaign has been developed to encourage all businesses in our Shire to come together and support one another so every business gets back on their feet.

The campaign is funded as part of our Business Support Package to help our business community recover from the economic effects of COVID.

This is where we need your help by sharing tools and marketing information via social media, newsletters, blogs, websites etc.  We will supply you with the capabilities and support to utilise a Buy Local digital marketing toolkit. 

Colac Otway Shire has partnered with the Colac & District Chamber of Commerce and Apollo Bay Chamber of Commerce to deliver Buy Local - Together We Are Colac Otway!

What is included in the campaign?

Stage 1 - Now Completed

  

• Three pre-Christmas videos were posted on the Colac Otway Shire's YouTube channel. These videos are still available and can be shared by your business to showcase the significance of shopping local.

• Colac Otway Shire were major sponsors in the MixxFM SHOP LOCAL A ‘K’ A DAY FOR 20 DAYS, which gave our community the chance to share in $20,000 to help brighten their Christmas and stimulate our local economy at no cost to the businesses themselves. Many thanks to the many businesses that signed up for the campaign within our Shire.

Stage 2 - Digital Marketing Toolkit

Businesses are able to download and use the marketing collateral from the digital marketing toolkit in your own promotions. The toolkit includes:

• YouTube links to another four new promotional videos that you can share for the purpose of promoting pride and awareness in our business community. 

• Unframed messaging for website and social media posts to use on your Facebook, Instagram and Blog pages - (just add your image) via your favourite App e.g. Canva.

• Utilising the campaign hashtag  #colacotwaylocals across all of your social media posts. 

• Webinar to support our businesses on how to upload images across your socials and website.
