Anzac Day - Wreath Laying Service - Colac

Anzac Day

ANZAC Day is a day of national commemoration when we pause to remember Australia’s servicemen and women. 

10.30am - Persons will assemble past Sewell's Lawyers at the corner of Murray and Gellibrand Streets Colac to march to St Mary's Church, Gellibrand Street Colac.  Victoria Police will escort the procession. 

11.00am - Fr Michael O'Toole will conduct a service at St Mary's Catholic Church which will conclude at 12.00pm. 

12.00pm - Victoria Police will escort the procession down Gellibrand Street to Memorial Square to arrive at 12.15pm. 

12.15pm - Wreath laying at Memorial Square.  Victoria Police will close Murray Street between Gellibrand, Hesse and Queen Streets while the marchers proceed to the RSL after the Wreath Laying ceremony. 

12.45pm - Afternoon Activities at the RSL.  Two up will be played.  Sandwiches and tea/coffee available in the large hall.
