PDTA

The Polwarth & District Tennis Association is Affiliated with the Victorian Country Tennis Association and covers the Colac Otway region with 13 affiliated clubs, ranging from Gellibrand and Forrest in the south, Beeac in the north, Bambra in the east and Colac to the west.

Summer Competition

The Summer Competition is the main competition of the PDTA, being played between early October and the end of March. There are 6 Grades of Tennis, 3 Senior, which are A Grade, A Reserve and B grade, Senior teams are made up of 6 players 3 Men and 3 Ladies, with there being 9 seta played in a match 3 Mens doubles, 3 Ladies doubles and 3 mixed doubles. The other 3 Grades are Juniors under 15 from the 1st of October for the season. This is known as C grade with Division 1, 2 and 3. The Junior tennis is played in the mornings with teams of 4 players being of both boys and girls mixed and playing 6 set in a match.

Winter Competition

The PDTA has just recently joined with the winter ladies competition to bring the comp. under the banner of the PDTA. This competition is for the Ladies over the winter and played on a monday afternoon. teams are made up of 4, and is considered a social hit by the ladies who play.
