The G21 has collaborated to develop the G21 Regional Football (Soccer) Strategy, which has been prepared following a review of current soccer provision across the region. The Strategy guides the future provision of soccer in the G21 Region considering regional and local needs for soccer development, governance and facilities.
Addressing issues and challenges facing soccer using a regional approach provides many benefits to project partners and to the sport. It recognises that sporting competitions are not played within a single municipality and that the suite of facilities and services are required within the region to support the sports growth and development.
A copy of the G21 Regional Football (soccer) Strategy can be downloaded at the below weblink.
Please note that of the G21 member Councils, the City of Greater Geelong is yet to formally endorse the Strategy.
