Join in the hunt for the Golden Gumboot and explore one of the Otways greatest destinations, the Old Beechy Rail Trail.

Get the family together, take a friend or the dog, get out and get active while discovering the beauty of the Old Beechy Rail Trail. Keep your eye out for one of the forty gumboots painted gold that will be hidden along sections of the Old Beechy Rail Trail during the months of September and October. Return your boot with its identification tag to the Colac Otway Shire Office to redeem your instant prize and go into the draw for a major prize.

Start hunting for Golden Gumboots in Barongarook from 20 September - 4 October 2014, be sure to register for the first 2 weeks of the Hunt along the Old Beechy Rail Trail from Kawarren to Gellibrand.
The following 2 weeks of The Hunt for the Golden Gumboot will take place along the Old Beechy Rail Trail in Beech Forest. Search for Golden Gumboots between 20 October - 1 November 2014 along the Trail from Beech Forest to Ferguson, remember to register again to be eligible to collect your instant prize.

You can download a copy of the Old Beechy Rail Trail map here

To celebrate the success of this great local event, come along to the free sausage sizzle/community BBQ on Sunday 2 November, 12.00pm at the Rex Norman Park, Gellibrand where the name of the winner of the major prize will be drawn!

Don't forget that all registered participants are eligible to enter the major prize draw, but you must be in attendance at the BBQ when your name is drawn to collect the prize!

Once you have searched for (and hopefully found) a Golden Gumboot, don't forget to complete the Old Beechy Rail Trail user survey and share your experience of the Trail.
