Colac Otway Shire’s FReeZA committee will recognise the positive achievements of young people with the Colac Otway Outstanding Leadership Awards (The COOL Awards) during National Youth Week September 2013.
Nomination packs will be available from July 2013
Young people living, working or studying in the Colac Otway Shire can be nominated in any of the following categories -
- sports
- the arts
- environmental achievements
- community involvement
- business
- open category
This year the arts category will include performing arts, music and dance as well as a visual arts category celebrating young people's achievements in sculpture, painting, textiles, graphics, woodwork and metalwork and photography.
The COOL Awards will also recognise the most outstanding achiever in community involvement with the major award -
The Great Mate Award
Awards will be presented during a ceremony at the Colac Otway Performing Arts and Cultural Centre in September 2013 during National Youth Week.
