All My Love

Adults $41 Concessions $36 Students $25

Their lives could have been written so differently: the story of Henry Lawson and Mary Gilmore’s lost
and forbidden love.

Still revered across Australia, Henry Lawson is one of the nation’s favourite writers and poets. His contemporary, Mary Gilmore, was a literary icon and radical socialist. These heroes of literature had enormous influence over each other….and they were secretly betrothed.

At the end of the 19th century, Mary Gilmore was introduced to the young Henry Lawson. As their friendship developed, Mary found herself caught in the midst of an intense relationship between Henry and his formidable mother, the suffragette Louise
Lawson. Henry and Mary's love affair was thwarted by a devastating deception.

The Coodabeen Champions
Wednesday, August 26, 8pm
Box Office: (03) 5232 2077
Adults $35 Concession/Students $30

To celebrate the 35th anniversary of their legendary footy show, ABC Radio’s favourite sons, the Coodabeen Champions, are taking their show on the road to perform live for legions of footy fans across Victoria.

Following a sold-out show at the Arts Centre Melbourne’s Playhouse Theatre last year, Covey, Champs, Billy and Richo decided their team balance was right to tackle the rigours of a 10-venue tour across regional Victoria and metro Melbourne to mark their 35th year on-air, and they will be playing COPACC on Wednesday, August 26.

When the Coodabeens hit the 3RRR airwaves in 1981 with their simple formula, they were also breaking new ground for sports coverage. And, a bit like the AFL teams of today, the Coodabeens did their share of building the playing list. A few came and went – including Whelan who was benched, albeit in the Supreme Court – but Richardson is still rucking to an engine room of stalwarts Ian Cover, Greg Champion, Billy Baxter and Jeff “Torch” McGee.

Having built the list, the Coodabeens have managed to stay at the top of their game, have never bottomed out nor tanked. Indeed, they finished the 2013 and 2014 seasons at No 1 in their timeslot and, in 2015, have picked up where they left off.

The Coodabeens live tour line-up is; Ian Cover, Greg Champion, Billy Baxter and Jeff Richardson.

Dylan Thomas: Returm Journey
Thursday, September 3, 8pm
80 minutes (no interval)
Box Office: 5232 2077
Adults $41 Concessions $36 Students $25

More than 80,000 people worldwide have enjoyed this critically acclaimed production which has included sell-out seasons at London’s Lyric Hammersmith, off Broadway, Edinburgh, and The British Library.

Heralded by critics worldwide as a "lyrical tour de force”, this is your chance to experience Bob Kingdom’s electrifying performance as he brings Dylan Thomas’ last lecture to life in Anthony Hopkins’ celebrated directorial debut.

Playing a man who wrestled with the psychological conflict between creative talent and self-destructive impulse, Bob Kingdom’s remarkable portrayal of his bardic countryman is tangibly heartfelt and authentic;
audiences have sworn it was the poet himself.
