| Community Infrastructure Plans – Birregurra and Forrest
Colac Otway Shire Council is encouraging the Birregurra and Forrest communities to participate in the development of community infrastructure plans for their towns.
When completed, the plans will help guide Council’s investment for new and existing community facilities, such as playgrounds, parks and recreation facilities, community halls and lighting.
Mayor Brian Crook said Council was seeking input from these communities to understand their needs and priorities to help direct Council’s investment in community infrastructure.
“Council would like to find out how residents use current facilities, what facilities are missing and what infrastructure investments the communities think council should be undertaking.
“This will help us to ensure the plans reflect the aspirations of the community,” he said.
Two drop-in sessions will provide community members an opportunity to convey their ideas and discuss their experiences with project managers. These sessions will be held on:
Tuesday May 24 Monday May 23 Forrest Community Hall Birregurra Community Centre 4.30pm to 7pm 4pm to 7pm
Further opportunities for the community to view the plans and provide feedback will be available as the project progresses.
More information is available from Matt Lowe, Capire Consulting on 9285 9000 or Council’s Economic Development Officer Michael Cosgriff on 5232 9444.
