The Older Persons and Ability Support Services unit at Colac Otway Shire provides a comprehensive and integrated range of support services for frail and elderly people and people with disabilities to live independently in their own homes and to participate in their communities.

Improved Liveability for Older People (ILOP)
Council has implemented the TTY (telephone typewriter) systems at the Rae Street Customer Service office and the Colac Visitor Information Centre as well as Counter Hearing Loops and personal FM systems to assist the hearing impaired access information.
The new TTY numbers are:
