Recycling collection remains as normal for Colac Otway Shire

Recent pressures on recycling collection throughout Victoria are not currently affecting Colac Otway Shire Council’s operations.

Colac Otway Shire’s recycling is collected by Wheelie Waste and is processed by SKM. Acting CEO, Tony McGann advised Council didn’t currently foresee any impact to waste collection services.

“Council is mindful of issues affecting the recycling industry and we will continue to work with our contractor to ensure waste is collected as normal. At this time we don’t believe there will be an impact to Council’s waste collection services,” he said.

“We encourage residents to continue recycling as normal as current collection services remain unchanged.

“It’s more important than ever to be mindful of keeping what waste we can out of landfill and to recycle in accordance with Council’s guidelines,” Mr McGann said.
