Independent Audit Committee Member appointed
Colac Otway Shire Council has appointed Brian Keane to its Audit Committee, replacing Linda MacRae who resigned on August 29.
Shire Mayor Jason Schram said the Council’s Audit Committee membership included two Councillors and two independent members, who were appointed by Council.
“Council has appointed Brian Keane, who has experience with five different Councils in risk and audit roles, as an independent member to replace Ms MacRae,” Cr Schram said.
“Council voted to appoint Mr Keane at the closed session Council meeting in November and announced his appointment to the community after he formally accepted the role.”
Cr Schram and Cr Stephen Hart are the Councillors currently appointed to the Audit Committee.
