The countdown continues for the AFL JLT Community Series Match between Geelong Cats and Essendon Bombers at Colac’s Central Reserve on Sunday 11 March 2018.

While there are currently tickets available, Deputy Mayor Jason Schram urged footy fans to secure their spot to avoid disappointment.

“We’re thrilled with the community response to the AFL JLT Community Series Match and recommend footy fans don’t delay in buying their tickets. The game is sure to sell out,” Cr Schram said.

Access to the ground will be via Hearn Street on match day with Colac residents encouraged to walk to Central Reserve as parking will be limited.

“We’re suggesting people walk to the match where possible, as it’s likely to be the most convenient option on the day,” Cr Schram said.

For ticketholders with accessibility requirements there will be a designated viewing area with limited seating in the shelter on the western side of the ground. Ticket holders requiring special access should contact Council to register vehicles for their drop off, which will be via the Myers Street entrance (Youth Club entry).

Hearn Street will be closed to vehicles on match day from Gravesend Street to Stewart Street to provide safe pedestrian access to the ground. Access to parking at the Colac Secondary College sports field will be via the Queen Street entry.

Details about the event, including a FAQ sheet can be found on the events page at www.colacotway.vic.gov.au
