Young Ambassador Award

Young Ambassador 2015 Hana Day

Each year Colac Otway Shire Council recognises an outstanding young leader from our region who has excelled in one or more fields of endeavour. The Young Ambassador Award recognises the academic, sporting and community achievements of year 11 and 12 secondary students within the shire. One award winner receives a $1000 prize to go towards further education or other areas of interest.

The Young Ambassador Award is a great showcase of our shire’s fantastic young people, with nominations accepted each year from all schools in our shire. Nominees sit an interview where they discuss their achievements with a panel of people. For students, this is a wonderful opportunity to practise their interview skills for job or university interviews as they prepare to transition from school to adult life.

Contact Colac Otway Shire Council on (03) 5232 9400 for more information, or enquire with your school’s year level co-ordinator, as schools are responsible for nominating students for the award.
