Small Town Improvement Program (STIP)

Beech Forest Tree Sculpture

The Small Town Improvement Program provides funding for smaller scale capital works projects to township facilities. These projects can include the development of new facilities or upgrades to existing township infrastructure. Proposals are put forward by the various small town community groups or progress associations and are based on the priorities set out in each individual towns Township Master Plan or Community Infrastructure Plan.  Proposals may also be noted in other strategic documents, for example a structure plan or neighbourhood character study; or have equivalent demonstrated high level of community support and be considered a priority to the community.

The Small Town Improvement Program provides the opportunity for the shire's smaller communities to have capital works undertaken that may otherwise be a lower priority within Council's overall Capital Works Program.
